A letter to a naturalist

Last year the Octans and Orions explored the natural world of plants and animals. Some of them also looked at the history of the universe, the beginnings of earth and how it all came to be. We ended the year by sharing with each child various books on geology, plants and animals, based on where their interest lay. We also asked them to write letters to the authors sharing what they found fascinating in the books along with other wonderments and questions.

Here is Anoushka’s letter to Pradip Krishen, author of ‘Jungle Trees of Central India’. She was truly very excited to hear back from him. What’s more, he replied within minutes of receiving the letter! If only trees grew so fast!
